To get the word out about your business and the fantastic content you’re producing, social media is a must. However, publishing material to social media anytime you feel like it isn’t enough; there are optimal times to post that will provide the best results.

Timely Social Media Updates

Our poll of over a thousand marketers in 2022 found that the optimal times to post on social media were between 6 and 9 p.m. and between 12 and 3 p.m., regardless of industry or platform. On Fridays is when you should publish your content.

What Time of Day is Ideal for Instagram Posting?

The number of mobile users that browse Instagram every month topped 2 billion in 2022. Across all sectors, 6–9 p.m., 12–3 p.m., and 3–6 p.m. are the optimal times to make Instagram posts.

A Perfect Time to Share on Facebook

When it comes to optimal posting times, Facebook and Instagram report nearly equal data from advertisers. In general, across all sectors, the most engagement may be garnered from a Facebook post between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. and between 12 and 3 p.m.

When is the Ideal Time to Tweet?

According to marketers, 9am-12pm is the sweet spot for posting on this text-based social networking site. The optimal time to publish on the network, according to 23% of marketers polled, is between 9 AM and 12 PM, followed by 12 PM and 3 PM, and finally 3 PM and 6 PM. Similar to Instagram and Facebook, the ideal day to publish is on Friday, although Wednesday is also an excellent option. When it’s at its worst, it’s first thing in the morning. More specifically, between the hours of 6 and 9 in the morning.

Times of Day Ideal for LinkedIn Updates

About one-third of all individuals in the United States are active users of the professional networking site LinkedIn. The fact that it is the only social media network to have a weekday among its top days to post is not surprising.

Generally, the best times to make LinkedIn updates are from nine in the morning until noon, from one in the afternoon until six in the evening. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Tuesdays are the greatest days to publish. Sundays and Saturdays have the lowest productivity levels.

Pinterest’s Prime Posting Time

Pinterest users will see the most engagement between the hours of 3 and 6 p.m.
Respondents from the chemical and metals industries, as well as those in agriculture, food, and beverages, and the military and aerospace industries, ranked 6-9 p.m. as the second most favoured period.
Friday is the greatest day to publish on Pinterest, according to 29% of marketers, while Sunday is the worst.

The Ideal Time to Publish on YouTube

Pew Research found that 82% of U.S. people use YouTube, and their numbers are only expected to rise. So, how can you maximise your exposure on the network? I said, “Shall we?”

Send out messages between 3 and 6 p.m. (22%), noon and 3 p.m., and 6 p.m.

18% of marketers questioned advocate blogging on Fridays, while 16% feel Saturday is the ideal day to post.
The early morning hours of Tuesday from 6 AM to 9 AM are the worst times to make a post on the site.
Third to six o’clock in the afternoon is peak time for several industries, including transportation, agriculture, food and drink, and emergency services.

Best Time to Post on TikTok

TikTok has dominated the market for short-form videos among Generation Z and Millennial users since 2020.

Between 6 and 9 o’clock at night, 3 and 6 o’clock in the afternoon, and 12 and 3 in the afternoon are peak posting periods. It’s preferable to publish on Saturdays and Thursdays if you’re a business-to-business company. For B2C brands, it’s Saturdays and Sundays.

Although energy and utilities and industrial and materials firms appear to find success in publishing between 6 to 9 AM, most marketers don’t advocate it.
TikTok users should avoid posting on Mondays and Tuesdays in favour of the weekend.

Establishing a Reliable Posting Routine

Even if each social media platform experiences peak participation at different times and days of the week, you still need to modify your strategy to fit your target demographic.

If you don’t have enough information yet, use this as a starting point. Once you start publishing consistently and have acquired data, evaluate it to identify when your audience is most engaged on the site and what posting schedule they respond to the most.

You may discover that various content kinds operate better when posted at certain times. To give you an example, you may find that uploading videos in the morning yields greater results than posting photos in the late afternoon.
